Our Love Letter to Baltimore

Baltimore will always hold a special place in our hearts. Not only is it home to dozens of delectable eateries, sweet shops, and artists— it’s also home to the best people on earth!

We love Charm City like one of those cheesy Hallmark romcoms, and we’re not afraid to show it… That’s why we’ve put together a list of some of the best places and spaces around town. So, without further ado, let’s dig into Megan and Wendy’s list of Baltimore favorites.

For Dinner: Woodberry Tavern

Welcome to the Atlanta foodie scene! Once known as the Woodberry Kitchen, this fabulous restaurant closed its doors during the uncertain times of the pandemic and recently reopened in 2023. With a slightly new name and a whole new vibe, you’ll find the familiar taste of their best dishes. From crab pots to personal-sized baked Alaska, this local restaurant is sure to please.

For Relaxation: Zina’s Day Spa & Salon

From pedicures to facials to couple’s massages, there’s no better place to relax in Baltimore than Zina’s. This spa is the cherry on top when it comes to pampering, and they make sure to take excellent care of you no matter your treatment. Perhaps a bit on the pricey side, but a quality massage is definitely worth it.

For Flowers: Fleur de Lis Florist

Known for gorgeous blooms and colorful arrangements, Lana and her excellent florists are the perfect Baltimore go-to. Perfect for weddings, Mother’s Day, or a simple thoughtful gesture—Fleur De Lis is the perfect local solution to brighten anyone’s day.

For Art: Walters Art Museum

This museum is an absolute must for locals and tourists alike. Perfect for both art enthusiasts and history buffs, their expansive collections fill our city with a rich culture that is difficult to compare! Not to mention the local events and workshops that offer definite perks throughout the year. One of the best parts about this museum is that admission is FREE—not to mention it’s home to one of the largest Andy Warhol collections in the world (a personal fave for sure!)

For Sweets: Berries by Quicha

Personalized chocolate-covered strawberries? Now, that’s what we’re talking about! Berries by Quicha is a local sweets shop that specializes in a wide variety of chocolate-covered strawberries. From fun flavors to beautiful decorations, these berries are the perfect gift for any loved one. Graduation, wedding, anniversary—you name it! This place sure knows how to have a BERRY good time.

For Coffee: Artifact Coffee

There’s more to a café than the perfect cup of coffee. Sometimes it’s about atmosphere, aesthetics—the vibes. Well, Artifact Coffee offers a perfect place for idle chitchat as well as a focused workplace or study sesh. Just make sure to try some of their brunch items or the Spiced Vietnamese coffee.

For Tea: Cuples Tea

Latest and greatest on the hipster scene? Tea time. Cuples Tea is an adorable tea shop that features a vibrant atmosphere with smells to DIE for. They serve tea, they sell tea, and they also host tea parties. What’s not to love?

For Backed Goods: Ovenbird Bakery

Our greatest love is Baltimore, but the next best thing? CARBS! Ovenbird offers a wide variety of lovely pastries from English muffin sandwiches to bread loaves to patisserie items. One of their most popular items is the Chocolate "Chirp" Cookies that feature milk chocolate chips and are big enough to share (but so delicious you'll want your own).

For Plants: B. Willow

Our go-to place for indoor plants and overall green thumb-ery. They have a wonderful selection of plants and are very knowledgeable about the different species. Even if you’re nervous about becoming a plant parent (why do they always die??), the experts here are very reassuring.

For Seafood: Thames Street Oyster House

Perhaps the most notorious restaurant here in Baltimore, and for good reason. We have to give them a shoutout for their fried oysters, lobster rolls, and any other New England staples. This place is pretty iconic, so it’s hard not to list it as a favorite.

For Unique Finds: Chartreuse & Co

A farm family-owned farm turned eclectic store in Buckeystown, Maryland. They are open once a month for their Designer Barn Sale where they share their land, inspiration, and great finds with thousands of fellow decorating aficionados each year. They also have an online store you can shop at.

Let’s cut to the chase—Baltimore is our home, and we are extremely grateful to be able to share it with you. This city breathes with a life of its own, filled to the brim with bustling entrepreneurs and insightful artists and talent of every cut and color.
